It was an extremely chaotic day, in the town of Beitulu, as an Israeli settler attack cut this group of olive harvesters in three. One group took an ill-fated route up a nearby mountain, where settlers were waiting above them and began hurling stones down at them. The Israeli military arrived to arrest several people: all of them international solidarity activists, naturally, who were helping the Palestinians with their harvest. I did not see, nor hear of, the military making any arrests against the marauding settlers, who have been terrorizing this community for months.
A timelapse I captured of this morning’s Falcon 9 launch at 6:33 AM from Florida’s Space Coast. Watch as the International Space Station (ISS) crosses the sky, followed shortly after by the Falcon 9 rocket carrying supplies and payloads to the station. The timelapse also captures the Falcon 9 booster returning to Earth, followed by a powerful sonic boom.
October 14 brings electric energy and the sense that something you have patiently nurtured for months is ready to surprise you. The Moon opposite Uranus delivers the unexpected turn, while its trines to Mars and retrograde Saturn link that sudden change with courage and karmic reward. Expect a day that feels awake and charged, bringing a lift of anticipation and the sense that a single message, answer or opening could tip everything in your favour. This is wild card energy, the kind where a plot twist rewrites the story overnight, and what reaches you now is the hard-won knowing that lets you welcome it instead of bracing against it. Saturn retrograde throws a light on the invisible rules you have been following, especially the ones that make happiness feel like something you must earn before you are allowed to feel it. Maybe you hold your own happiness back until every duty is handled, or you measure everyone else's needs long before considering what you truly want for yourself. Its supportive link with the Moon offers a deeper truth, showing you that the devotion you pour so freely into others is meant to flow back into your own days too. Your happiness belongs inside your plans, sacred and worthy, rather than waiting at the finish line as a reward you keep postponing. Karmic reward can arrive through a familiar situation that calls something new out of you, and the moment it happens, you feel how far you have travelled. A circumstance that once sent your heart racing with worry now finds you grounded, certain and unshaken. The conversations that once had you weighing every syllable begin to flow with ease, and the whole exchange feels lighter because you meet it with more wisdom, calm and self-assurance than the version of you who first walked into situations like it. Your growth reveals itself through the way you respond, rather than through a lesson returning to test you again. Everything you have come to understand has handed you one treasure above the rest, which is the freedom to savour the peace and connection that were out of reach while you were still learning the very thing that led you here.
