Have you ever simul climbed? On a normal climb, the leader takes more risk and is thus typically the stronger climber if anything gets spooky.

When simul climbing, that flips and the stronger climber should be following because a fall from the follower can pull the leader right off putting the entire party into danger. It is critical to be fully on the same page with your partner!!

‼️ This is just a lil joke video but seriously, don’t simul unless you know what you’re doing! The consequences of a mistake are much higher ‼️

@j.m._____ there had never been a recorded accident with someone climbing above mussy hooks and falling, just discussion. Then there was one

You can't fall as the follower.

Jsyk guys falling on micros can easily shred your rope so you really still don’t want to fall

i prefer leading while simul climbing. By using progress capture devices and correct positioning on ridges or similar terrain you can also mitigate being pulled off by the follower quite well

If you use PCDs like micros between you then it doesn’t matter really who is stronger 🤘
