🎥 Tomorrow night at MX, from 20:00: one hour of animation about technologies slipping out of control, infrastructures coming apart and worlds that feel uncomfortably familiar — very close, in fact, to the questions behind Against Resolution.
PANIC — Prix Ars Electronica Selection brings nine works from Prix Ars Electronica 2025 / New Animation Art to SIMULTAN Festival, drawn together by the same sense of unease that ran through last year’s
@arselectronica in Linz. The programme is part of Ars Electronica Animation Festival On Tour, showcasing some of the latest directions in experimental digital animation.
Over the course of an hour, we move from a ritualistic dinner and a motion-captured clone condemned to endless performance to a humanoid AI about to become electronic waste, plastic-choked oceans, Times Square overtaken by a mutating media monster, derelict cityscapes, mountains of e-waste and barren AI-generated landscapes after catastrophe. The first three works in the programme were awarded by the Prix Ars Electronica 2025 jury.
