Doing activities/classes for the first time with both kids continues to be scary to me. I know I just have to rip off the bandaid and do intense immersion therapy to get used to it… but the way I had to hype myself up to get out of the car!!

It went fine by the way. I was sweating but it was fine.

A few years ago, I was fighting to get justice for something that should never have happened to me. Now I’m sitting down with people in government discussing how we can change the law to protect others.

It honestly feels surreal even writing that.

Last week, my team and I met with representatives from DCMS and Andy Burnham’s team to get into the real details of Georgia’s Law.

Not just why we need it, but HOW we actually make it happen.

The hurdles we might face. The changes we need to make. The quickest way to get this legislation across the line.

And somewhere in the middle of all those conversations, I had one of those moments where I thought…

Oh my God. This is actually happening. 🥹

There’s still work to do, and nothing is guaranteed, but we’re getting closer to something that could make a real difference to so many lives.

A huge thank you to my amazing team of specialist lawyers at Payne Hicks Beach, and to Nick Hargrave and the brilliant team at Strand Partners, who are working tirelessly behind the scenes to help turn Georgia’s Law into a reality. I couldn’t do this without their expertise, dedication and belief in what we’re trying to achieve. ❤️

I never imagined my worst experience could lead me here.

And I won’t stop pushing until we get this right. ❤️
