My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. I was terrified of losing my baby in the first trimester, knowing that’s when most miscarriages occur. And to my horror, the bleeding started just two days before my first scheduled ultrasound.

The scan I had prayed for, where I’d get to see a heartbeat for the first time, became the scan that confirmed there wasn’t one.

I’d be lying if I said that loss didn’t impact my other two pregnancies. I spent the first trimester trying to disassociate, almost pretending it wasn’t happening because I was so afraid to let myself get excited. Thankfully, I got my rainbow babies. 🤍

But I still think about my first baby regularly. I wonder about the little life I never got to meet, and I pray that one day, I will. Until then, my little muffin. 🤍

Doing activities/classes for the first time with both kids continues to be scary to me. I know I just have to rip off the bandaid and do intense immersion therapy to get used to it… but the way I had to hype myself up to get out of the car!!

It went fine by the way. I was sweating but it was fine.
