a month agoThe average public expenditure was about 42% for the 12 new arenas and 12 new stadiums built across the U.S. since 2010. Since 2020, three arenas have been built with NO public money. J.C. Bradbury has extensively studied public policy toward arena and stadium construction as an economics professor at Kennesaw State University. Bradbury was blunt in his assessment of the Oklahoma City proposal: "Whoever negotiated this for the city of Oklahoma City should be fired for incompetence." Bradbury Said he is particularly concerned about the lack of price ceilings. "When you tell me an arena is going to be a minimum of $900 million with no caps, you've just committed to a $2 billion arena," he said. "It is by far the worst stadium deal I've ever seen negotiated from a public standpoint." Billionaires conning the working class in a state with the lowest education scores in the nation, smh. You bought the team for $325 million (325,000,000) and it is now valued at more than 4.25 BILLION ($4,250,000,000). For every dollar the ownership group invested they got over $1,200 back.
a month agoHope @okcthunder gets new logo, uniforms and court design for @continentalcoliseum era🙏🏾
a month agoImpressive scale, but I wonder how you ensure quality control with such a massive pour. Does the team use any special testing or monitoring for consistency and curing?
