Minnesotans don't have to wait until Election Day to cast a ballot in the 2026 general election.

Voting begins Friday, opening a 46-day window in which voters can cast an absentee ballot by mail or at a local elections office. Then, beginning Oct. 16, Minnesota will offer a new form of early voting that more closely resembles the Election Day experience.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. However you choose to vote, here is what you need to know.

Tap the link in our bio for more details on casting your ballot early, or comment "guide" to get a link to our voter guide.

I wish it didn’t have to be so confusing… I wish physical polls were open for weeks in advance so people could just show up early and in person.
