We are elated to welcome Samuel Lanchin and Samra Mayanja, or simply SAM(S), as Cubitt Curatorial Fellows (2026 - 2028).

Their programme entitled « 𝑫𝒖𝒆𝒕𝒔 » looks to the duo as a framework; be it the relationship between two people, a lifelong conversation with an event and/or the space between one and another. Within this dance, what sustains (or destroys)?
SAM(S) have been besties and loving collaborators for 10 years working in crevices and moving through the muck.
Samuel Lanchin is an artist-technician who builds material and immaterial infrastructure for artists’ moving image. From 2023-24 he ran NIGHT VISION; a temporary outdoor cinema at iconic co-operative, Wharf Chambers (Leeds).
@1samchin Samra Mayanja is an artist-writer. She curates THE CALL CENTRE in her studio; a prolific performance programme centering artists concerned with the voice and the unspeakable.
@newyearr_newmee Cultural infrastructure starts with at least two people deciding to support one another ……‘It takes (at least) two baby!’
