The cross roads in Paris. I love to walk. I do it for exercise. I do it to clear my mind. And I do it for fun. This past week my walks have been like a visit through the gallery of life in the city of love. Corner after corner was a different scene, but somehow exactly how I imagined it to be. Its beauty felt endless. I came to this city with high expectations. So many friends here before me with wonderful stories of their experience. Now I have my own experience and stories to share. Merci Paris….you did not disappoint. #paris

I never knew God created men like this til I met my husband. I grew up scared of men & scared of commitment. I thank God every single day that he put together the perfect plan to have me marry a complete stranger who would show me that there are some good men in this world. There are dads who like to stay.❤️ Doug is good on every level. He is calm when I’m anxious. He is steady when I’m a rollercoaster. He cares deeply for our family. He’s also weirdly into aliens & ufos.😂 He loves getting deep into ancient mysteries & what’s out in space.👽 He’s the absolute best father our children could ever have. Watching him be the daddy I always wanted heals a piece of my inner child.🙏 There aren’t enough good word to describe my husband…he is truly so good & fair & loving right down in his core.🙏❤️ Please help me wish the most amazing man I’ve ever known the happiest birthday. Chapter 25: The Bee How do you know if a man is flirting or just being nice? You don’t. You find out later, and by then you’ve already decided something. I was at a car wash on a Tuesday. A good one. Glass waiting room, air conditioning, coffee that wasn’t terrible. I waited outside anyway. There were chairs under a canopy with the sun on them, and I will always pick the sun. I had been there forty minutes. My car was third in line. There were planters along the wall. That’s where the bee came from. It landed on my arm. I don’t move when I’m scared. Some people scream. I go completely still, which is worse, because nobody notices and nobody helps. A man walked past, saw it, and waved it away without stopping. Then he came back. “You’re welcome,” he said. I hadn’t said thank you. We talked for the rest of the wait. He asked what I did. I said I used to study engineering. He asked why I said “used to.” I said it was a long story. He said he had three cars in front of him. He was thirty-four. He told me without being asked, like it was something he preferred to put on the table early. I did the math in the car afterwards. Then I stopped doing the math. When my car came out he asked for my number. I gave him my Instagram instead. I’d like to say that was caution. It wasn’t. It was so I could look at his photos first. He wrote the next morning at 9:14. “How’s the bee?” I answered in under a minute, which I would prefer not to have done. We texted all day. About nothing. At night: “There’s a place I go on Fridays. You’re coming with me.” Not a question. I read it four times looking for the question. Then I said yes. #datingstories #storytelling #anaschuwaltz #anachapters
