a month agoSomeone watching a match fills it in for each point. They note whether you’re serving or returning and what happens with the serve - first or second serve, ace or double fault. Then they record how the point ends using four letters:W = you hit a winnerP = you put your opponent under pressure and they missF = your opponent forces you into an errorU = you make an unforced error They put the letter under the shot that ended the point - forehand, backhand, volley, etc and mark whether you won or lost it. Then there’s space for the rally length and either the score or an importance rating from 1 to 5. Because there’s a difference in making a mistake in the first point or at deuce.
