Horned Amanipardalises — Colony Behavior Record From observations of fantasy creatures in the Chimeric Garden, a place that exists only in stories: Today, during my round, I almost stepped on a colony of Horned Amanipardalises. I mistook them for a patch of fly agaric mushrooms. Amanipardalises live in small colonies among fallen leaves. Their bright cap with white spots scares off predators, since many animals avoid poisonous mushrooms. When all is calm, they scurry over the leaves looking for food. They settle arguments simply. They bump caps and push each other with their paws until one gives up. Amanipardalises are always trying to make their disguise even better. They gather fallen leaves and arrange them around themselves to look even more like mushrooms growing among the leaves. The most beautiful leaf is especially valued, so sometimes a real fight breaks out over it, and two of them tug it back and forth with their paws for a long time.
