Tesla’s new Roadster just took the supercar conversation into the air. Elon Musk unveiled the redesigned electric sports car at a SpaceX facility in Texas, showcasing thruster-assisted airborne manoeuvres that looked straight out of a sci-fi movie.

The demonstration showed brief aerial movement rather than sustained flight like a conventional aircraft, but it offered a dramatic glimpse of Tesla’s ambitions for the Roadster. With extraordinary acceleration claims and production targeted for 2028, there is still plenty to prove before this vision reaches customers.
