10/3 Unfortunately it was one of those nights. We only had one bluefish on the boat, but did manage to bring in a feisty Albaca! A few seabass started to come up half way through the night, so the customers decided as a whole that they wanted to switch over to seabass fishing. We had one keeper break off right at the top but the rest of them were throwbacks. Unfortunately you can’t win every night, and between the rough seas and past storm, it’s not a surprise. Next week we will be switching over to stripped bass every Friday and Saturday night 7-12pm.

10/4 On today’s Fluke trip we had lots of Fluke action and managed to bring in 2 keepers. It’s not as we expected but the season are still torn up for last weeks nor’easter. Mother Nature did us dirty.

9/18 About last night… there wasn’t one frown. We picked fish all night to almost full limits. About 12 fish were lost from technical difficulties. We even managed to catch a Whistle fish keeper Fluke. Had a first timer on the boat that was having the time of his life catching em’ up. As the wind picked up and tide changed, the bite began to slow down. Everyone agreed that our damage here was done and decided to leave early, leaving them bad boys biting for 9/19s trip tonight.

Remember, every Friday and Saturday until November 7pm-3am we will be sailing offshore for bluefish. We have been either close to or limiting out every trip!

9/16 Excuse the picture quality, we had some technical difficulties today. Today we had a consistent bite with some keepers in the mix. It was definitely a nice day to be fishing before sweater season comes.

9/10 Tonight was the best night Porgy fishing this season. After a slow unpredictable season, it’s finally looking like it’s turning for the better. If you’re looking to go out for a trip fishing with your children, our 5-9pm trip would be perfect for you. You get to experience the fun and joy of fishing, and your kids get to sleep in time for school in the morning. We had two lovely families that came aboard tonight with their children that had a great time and brought home some keeper fish dinners.

9/12 We had a Smashing night Bluefishing as always! Thankfully a slow night had been rare to see this season. The Pool fish came in at a whopping 9 LBS! The pool winner was part of a group of eight who had some experienced fishermen and some first timers. The newcomers got the hang of these bluefish real quick, limiting out like most of the 26 customers aboard. Come get in on some of this action.

At the Capt Dave Fishing Fleet, we value our customer’s opinion. So we have a question for you ladies and gentlemen. As you could see the Bluefish are chewing their heads off, but the grounds where the bluefish are take some time to get to. We want our customers to have as much reasonable time fishing on these offshore Bluefishing trips despite the long travel times. This is why these trips are 7pm-3am. We do understand that this time might not work for all of our customers. So we would like to ask your opinion on this idea so we could best accommodate you. For the working men and women, would you be interested in a “Workman’s Special” 5pm-12am Offshore Bluefishing trip every Wednesday, running until November? If so, please feel free to share your opinion via instagram or Facebook DM. We hope to accommodate you, our loyal customers as best as we can.

9/11 Before this report, on behalf of the Capt Dave Fishing fleet, we would like to wish everyone that that has suffered from 9/11 our regards. We had Great fishing today, Cyndi had the big one at 7#-1 oz, Roc had a nice duo, and quite a few respectable keepers.

Here is yesterday’s late report. Some very respectable keepers today up to 4# oz, nothing like smiles on happy anglers. This is the best fishing time of season for fluke. Take advantage of it.
