Climate action has a memory problem.

We arrive with models, metrics and masterplans, convinced the future begins when we do.

The soil knows better.

Here in Machakos, a semi-arid landscape can look empty to the hurried eye. But land is an excellent accountant. It remembers every tree removed, every season of rain, every path water once took, every decision made upstream.

And unlike us, it doesn’t lose the minutes from the last meeting.

Perhaps climate action begins less with saving the planet and more with learning to read what the planet has already written.

The Soil Remembers.

A white paper on memory, land and why regeneration may require us to become better listeners before we become better builders.
