CROOKED ROYALS

This is without a doubt one of the hardest things I've ever had to write.

With a heavy heart it's time for me to say goodbye to Crooked Royals. I am starting a new chapter in life and have decided to move back to the UK. While I'm incredibly excited for what's ahead, the fact that it means leaving this band and the people who have become my family is something I never imagined doing, let alone coming to terms with how difficult it really is to say goodbye.

When Me and Jake started Crooked I just wanted to make music, I never expected to find lifelong friends, unforgettable memories, and a place that truly felt like home. Every show, every road trip, every laugh, every challenge, and every moment on stage are memories I'll treasure for the rest of my life.

To the Crooked boys.. I can't thank you enough for all these years. Firstly thank you for turning me into a passable musician, but mostly thank you for just being the incredibly selfless, funny and wonderful people that you are, you made my time in CR so special and I'll forever be grateful that I got to share some of the best moments of my life with you guys, I love you all. ❤️

To everyone who came to our shows, sang along, supported and believed in us, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. You let 14 year old me live out some dreams he never thought were possible, and I'll never forget the love you've shown me over the years.

Crooked Royals have every intention of moving forward without me and I wish them nothing but the best. Christian will be the sole lead vocalist going forward and I will be cheering them on from the sidelines every step of the way, hoping that they continue to achieve everything I know they can.

I will be playing some final Shows in Auckland and Wellington on our tour with August Burns Red next month and I'd love to see as many of you there as possible so I can say one last proper goodbye.

Leaving doesn't erase everything we've built together. The friendships, the music, and the memories will always be a part of who I am, no matter where I am in the world.

Thank you all for changing my life in ways I can't even begin to describe.
