This snare drum is an absolute beast, and one that if I had to ever thin down my collection, this would never leave! I’ve had this one a while but I’ve just changed heads from the original Evans Emad it had on it.

This is the @officialtamadrums @tamauk S.L.P. Maple 16” x 4” Pancake Gong Snare Drum, and it is an absolute monster. I’ve now put a @remopercussion @remo_gewadrums SMT Ambassador Clear head on it as this is the closest match to the original head it had on it, then I’ve used a Tune-Bot to get it to the original pitch it was designed to be at with it’s original head.

I bought this snare on a bit of a whim as I knew I wanted a 16” snare drum. Tama did originally release a 16” x 10” Limited Edition S.L.P. Duo Snare which was the original before the 14” x 8” which I missed out on, so as soon as they dropped this limited edition I got it straight away without listening to it. I am so glad I did as it is by far one of my favourites now.
