The Last Picture Shows is BACK in ASHLAND!
Opening on Friday, September 25 at the Varsity Theatre, The Last Picture Shows reminds viewers that even in vast cinema deserts, there are oases of community and gathering that remain, where the movie house continues to be a place of wonder, contemplation, and connection. On Saturday, September 26, at 7:30 p.m. there will be a Filmmaker Talkback with Rustin Thompson. If you haven’t had the chance to experience this beyond moving film, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
“Spare and beguiling... The movie’s lyrical and elegiac tone makes it truly resonant.” - The New York Times Critics Pick
