I love illustrating change. I created this femme software engineer illustration for an event invitation hosted by @kennyishereinpdx .

I wanted to show race and gender diversity in professional roles here in Portland. The series also includes a gender non-conforming photographer, and a Black femme lawyer.

Having worked in male-dominated industries for the first part of my career, I spent a lot of energy trying to fit in and hide my personality. Nobody should have to do this to succeed.

What future do you imagine? Let’s draw it together.
