At the TIFF and TIFF Market, the thing I keep coming back to isn't a screening. It's the meaningful conversations and meetings
Grateful for the time with:
Kiron Cherkori Sir ( Son of Sri Ramoji Rao) of the Ramoji Group a studio - the biggest film studio and our Sunny bhai from IFFSA Toronto
Sayani Gupta, whose work has been quietly shaping what Indian independent cinema can be.
My friend Paul Hopkins and American Actor Tom Malloy, the two actors who make the business side of this look a lot less lonely.
Mr. Mahaveer Singhvi, Consul General of India in Toronto, on the growing space for Indian storytelling in Canada.
And the NFDC team and full circle for me, having worked with them at TIFF years ago.
Finally happy to be part of IFFSA Toronto and the South Asian Screen Council of Canada for the opportunity to be part of TIFF Market.
Films get made in rooms like these long before a camera turns on.
