On Friday at the London Sculpture Week Symposium, we’ll be holding a book sale with copies of Jo Baring’s new book Totem: The Untold Story of Sculpture available to purchase.
Jo will also be joining us as our keynote speaker, bringing the afternoon to a close with reflections on sculpture and monumentality.
From the Lion Man to Antony Gormley, Totem: The Untold Story of Sculpture reimagines the history of sculpture as a story of humanity itself. Through works spanning continents and millennia, Jo Baring explores how sculpture embodies memory, identity, imagination and belief, making the case for its unique power to connect us to one another and to the world around us
