Come fly to lunch with me! ✈️ I’ve been reading your comments on my last few flying videos and I am here to answer your questions! Which… are mainly about cost. Learning to fly is the big cost I didn’t touch on here— I don’t come from an aviation family, but I’ve structured my life around learning to fly since I was a teen. It took me 6+ years because I kept running out of money, I got through my first solo in high school working line crew in exchange for hours (20:1) and working my paid job nights and weekends. I went back to training for 2 weeks after college to crank out the rest of my license with the last of my savings before moving to LA where I knew it would be more expensive. I also just got really lucky with finding an FBO that still let ramp rats learn to fly, I feel like that culture is fading fast :( Thanks @michellekhare and @learnthefinerpoints and @slip.it for having lunch with me 🥰
Transition after so long🙈
Do you “sneak in” strength moves during your day? (Follow for day 2!) It’s good to check in with your body once in a while (and bonus Strength!) Meet the Sink Squat, one of my clients’ FAVORITES! 🤗 - the assist takes pressure off your knees to start! Have you tried it!? Hi 👋 I’m Cindy, a 55-year-old certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and 50+ Midlife & Senior Fitness Specialist. I KNOW what a difference it makes when you move just a little more than you do today! I was traveling last week and felt out of sorts, so I found myself sneaking in more and more movement. This week I’m sharing some of my faves, starting with my #1: the Assisted Sink Squat! 🚰 ✨ How to do it: • Hold the edge of the sink for balance (don’t PULL on it, it’s just there for support) • Sit back like you’re reaching for a chair • Push through feet, and extra body weight on your heels to stand and squeeze your glutes at the top 🍑 • Start shallow! You don’t have to go deep. Work your way down a little more each week. 🌅 10 in the morning 🌃 10 at night = 6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ squats a month! 💪 Do it for 30 days and you may notice stronger legs and glutes, easier time getting up from a chair or the car, steadier balance, and more confidence on the stairs. 🦋 if you need more structure or help getting started? 💬 Comment FREE for my Get Fit Over 50 workout (it’s a bit older, but it does the trick!) 💬 Comment STRONG for info on my 50+ EverStrong classes. We meet online 2x a week, or grab the workouts anytime on demand! Save this and share with a loved one who needs a sink squat buddy! 👯‍♀️ Because you deserve to feel your best at any age! 🦋🥰 🌴I think it’s still acceptable to wear white pants while in Florida? Or classic tourist? 🫣 sweater is @shop_avara pants are from @remycreations and shoes are @vionicshoes … because well, i can’t wear flip flops anymore & my feet are always sore, these help! (Not an ad 🥰 just sharing secrets!) #over50fitness #homefitness #strengthtraining #sinksquat
