How we care for anything, is how we care for everything. Ourselves included.
The autumn equinox is a time for slowing down, releasing, and turning inward. A moment of balance and transition as we move from the vitality of late summer into a season that asks us to nourish, warm, ground and soothe.
As full-time mothers and business owners, we know those moments can be few and far between. So this is an invitation to ourselves as much as it is to you, a reminder to tend to ourselves, too.
These are the plants we’re reaching for as the season changes, each traditionally used to nourish, ground, soothe and support the body through times of transition. A blend for meeting the season where it is, and ourselves where we are.
Tulsi · Traditionally used as an adaptogenic herb to support the body through everyday stress, while feeling both clarifying and calming.
Nettle · A deeply nourishing tonic, rich in minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium.
Rose Hips · Naturally rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, traditionally enjoyed through the colder months for nutritional and immune support.
Oatstraw · A gentle nervous-system tonic traditionally used when feeling depleted, overstimulated or tense.
Chamomile · Traditionally used to settle the nervous system and support relaxation, restful sleep and gentle digestion.
Ginger · Traditionally used to encourage circulation, ease nausea and bring warmth throughout the body.
Cardamom · Aromatic and gently warming, traditionally used for digestion with an uplifting, comforting quality.
Rose Petals · Traditionally associated with soothing, cooling and emotional comfort, with an aroma that brings a calming quality to the blend.
May the shift be a reminder that tending to ourselves belongs among the things we care for, too.
