Much like how Encanto put Colombian culture and KPop Demon Hunters brought Korean influences to audiences around the world, Forgotten Island puts Filipino folklore, traditions, humor, music, and everyday details at the heart of a global animated feature.

The film is already making waves beyond the Philippines, debuting with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and earning a five-minute standing ovation at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.

With Liza Soberano, H.E.R., Lea Salonga, Dolly de Leon, and more Filipino talent helping bring Nakali to life, Forgotten Island could be a moment worth showing up for—and a reminder that Filipino stories can travel far beyond home. 🍿🇵🇭
