More than 11 years ago...I came into bodybuilding looking for confidence and a community I could be a part of....a few years into it Mike and Arya Saffaie quickly introduced me to something new at the time called “Men’s Physique”. It opened my eyes to the people, the world and the culture of bodybuilding. I agreed to my first show...and learned firsthand the hardship, mental discipline and sacrifice it requires to step on stage. Sacrifices that sometimes even your own family may never fully understand. That experience only made me RESPECT bodybuilding and its culture that much more. I wanted to represent the world that made me proud, but I didn’t see anything in the marketplace celebrating its darker, more honest side...the pain and sacrifice, the grit before the glory and the bad assery that bodybuilding made me feel. Everything felt colorful and full of smiles, but that wasn’t the entire truth...and that wasn’t me. I knew I wanted to create something that honored everything a person has to endure before finally reaching the other side. That’s when Darc entered the room. Darc Sport was introduced to the world 11 years ago. Since then, we’ve always done our best to support bodybuilders across ALL divisions, while remaining selective about the people who represent us...because we knew our message, NFGU, reached far beyond the fitness space. Fast-forward eleven years, and here we stand together again...three Olympia champions, surrounded by friends and family, celebrating who we are, what we’ve overcome and everything we still stand for. Also added memories from some highlighted moments of the past. This is bodybuilding. This is Darc Sport. 11 years down. Forever to go.
