In 1999, Kosovo’s refugees returned home to a country devastated by war and a landscape scarred by landmines and unexploded bombs.
After 27 years, HALO's 🇽🇰 #Kosovo programme is closing with the country transformed – today its economy has grown to more than $14 billion.
“Kosovo shows us that the real impact of removing explosives is not measured in hectares cleared, but in what that land makes possible over time,” said Atholl Stewart, HALO Kosovo’s last programme manager.
