Can your hands find the way before your head does?
When I’m stuck, I go to my sketchbook. I stop trying to think my way through it and start physically moving paint—pushing, covering, revealing, responding.
Somewhere in that process, I get out of my head and begin to see again.
These four emerged from that kind of exploration, all with a limited palette.
What do you turn to when you need to find your way back in?

I rely on my hands, too. It mostly, alway's works. But, sometimes, I have to use my feet; by stepping away for a while. ❤️ Your paintings are full of life!!!

These are wonderful Cindy. It's a funny question. My head never catches up with my hands. They seem to have a mind of their own and it seems like I am just along for the ride! Love your sketchbook paintings. There is such a looseness and freshness about each piece. Great share.

Yes! Beautiful and direct pages. I often sit and draw what I can see in a painting to find my way instead of thinking I can think my way forward!!
