Last year, I made a video about the Florida Blue Lounge at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. A few weeks ago, a TikTok account with a duck avatar and over 10,000 followers stole and reposted the video, and over 72,000 people watched the stolen version.
The problem is that the Florida Blue Lounge isnāt open this year. All the comments are like āthis isnāt right, I couldnāt find it,ā and Iām now getting comments on my actual account about how I was wrong about that lounge.
But it gets worse than that. This duck has now stolen 57 of my videos. Actually, 58, they just stole another one while I was writing this.
Theyāre cropping my old videos, still with my footage, face and voice (although they keep making me smaller in the frame, which is hilarious), but theyāre posting stuff thatās completely out of date. Thereās a promo for a giveaway that ended a year ago. You could plan your trip around something that doesnāt exist anymore, and itād be my shrinking face telling you to.
Iāve reported this account every way I can, multiple times. TikTok runs an automated review and says they arenāt violating their terms.
Iāve spent years making sure what I put out here is accurate and valuable to you. This is my job. This is how I feed my kids.
So PSA: if you want accurate Disney World content, make sure youāre getting it from me and not the duck.
And yes, theyāll probably steal this video too. š¦

Maybe it's a real duck using TikTok. Maybe this duck is a big fan of yours and this is its way of expressing that. Cut it some slack. Ducks don't understand human things and copyright laws.

This is happening all over the disney live stream and influencer communities. A friend of mine just texted me to let me know someone is using his accounts to contact his subs pretending to be him. He's not the only one. I will admit, you're on tik tok and they have the worst security. The YT and Insta folks have better resources when this happens making it easier to fix.

This is so annoying and upsetting to see, what a scumbag. Iām so pissed Iāve went and reported him on TikTok even though I donāt use it. Youād think considering they actually ask you who the account is impersonating, that they would see the issue. Social media policies are jacked and Iām sorry youāre having to go through this. I was close to just going through and commenting on each video that they had been stolen, and where to find you. But I guess theyād just go in and delete the comments. I also love ducks and donāt want this to make me look upon them less favourably!
