Every yachting season in Greece begins the same way: with an agiasmos, a blessing on the quay for the yachts, the crews, and the summer ahead. Here is our founder, Vassilis Lefakinis, opening one of Valef's first seasons in Marina Zeas, Pireaus.

In 1969, he pioneered crewed yacht chartering in Greece. His idea was simple: the right yacht, a crew who knows these waters, and a week in the islands that feels entirely your own.

Over five decades later, Valef is still family run on both sides of the Atlantic. Today Valef is proudly all women owned.

The boats have changed. The coves and our ethos have not.
