Screens down, stories up. ✨

On a family charter in Greece, the bedtime stories come with the scenery. Swipe through where every island has a myth of its own:

⚓ Charter Diaries: Dinner is done, the deck lights go down and the whole boat goes quiet for one story.
🧒 Explore: By day, the kids look out for the islands they’ll be hearing about that night.
🏛 Culture: It starts in Athens, where Athena and Poseidon fought over who would get the city.
🏝 Fabled Places: Legend says Glaucus, a shipbuilder from Symi, built the Argo for Jason and the Argonauts. Few harbors look more like a storybook.
🌌 Myths in the Sky: Then it’s time to find Orion and the Pleiades, the same stars the ancient Greeks used to tell their heroes’ stories.

Named for the ship that carried Jason and the Argonauts, ARGO was built for a modern kind of odyssey. 🌊
55 meters of space to spread out, with up to 26 guests in 13 cabins, so the whole family or your closest friends can sail together. When the anchor drops, the beach club opens: your Axopar 37 chase boat launches, Jet skis, SEABOBs, wakeboards, paddleboards, the slide, golf tee, and dive gear set up for the days you never want to end. Afterwards, there's the spa and the jacuzzi, with the sunset on the horizon.
A crew of 15 takes care of every detail.
Where would ARGO cruisel first? The Adriatic Coast and beyond ⚓️

Every yachting season in Greece begins the same way: with an agiasmos, a blessing on the quay for the yachts, the crews, and the summer ahead. Here is our founder, Vassilis Lefakinis, opening one of Valef's first seasons in Marina Zeas, Pireaus.

In 1969, he pioneered crewed yacht chartering in Greece. His idea was simple: the right yacht, a crew who knows these waters, and a week in the islands that feels entirely your own.

Over five decades later, Valef is still family run on both sides of the Atlantic. Today Valef is proudly all women owned.

The boats have changed. The coves and our ethos have not.

To those who have just found us: welcome aboard. Swipe through our story, then tell us which Greek island is on your list 🇬🇷

In the 1970s, a charter wasn't just a booking, it was a relationship built on trust, one handshake at a time.

This photo captures our founder, Vassilis Lefakinis, deep in conversation with the Baron and Baroness von Thyssen, ready to embark for a 3-week cruise in the Aegean, decades before "luxury yachting" became an industry buzzword.

Fifty plus years later, the boats have changed, but the instinct hasn't. We still believe the best charters start with a real conversation.
