Walk to 📍Geisler Alm, Domites, Italy
We did this in early September on a Saturday and couldn’t access the parking at Malga Zannes as it was full, so we left the car in Santa Maddalena and took the bus from there to Zannes, where the walk starts.
We followed route 36 towards Geisler Alm and started at 12:38, arriving at 14:17 (total duration 1h 39 min), including a snack stop at Dusler Alm and lots of short photo stops along the way.
Once we got there: fries, a very good Kaiserschmarrn and some time in the wooden deckchairs just taking in the view. Probably my favourite part of the afternoon. 🥰
For the walk back, we took routes 34 + 28 (1h 40 min) all the way to Santa Maddalena instead of returning to Zannes. It was incredibly quiet and such a nice contrast to the way up.
It was so nice to be back here, still one of my favourite places in the Dolomites. 🥾🗻🇮🇹
