Image 1 & 2 — “Mirage Men”
From my 0091 series, this is my intervention on archival images. The question I keep asking myself: could this be more than just a figurative document? Does the abstraction push it beyond another family picture? The idea was to transmix the analog past with techniques of the present - to create an altered reality.

Image 3 — “And those on the ground can dream of flying only if they look up”
My take on Cartier-Bresson’s decisive moment, the birds, and the deep symbolism they carry of absolute freedom.

Image 4 — “U M E HONEY”
Addressing the third person in a relationship as an LLC sign board. There’s a particular kind of deadpan irony, anxiety, humor and personality to this image and its ability to invoke certain emotion’s.

And lastly,

Image 5 — “In the Near Futura”
An artistic intervention layering a photograph taken near the Sharjah docks in 2017 with Paul Renner’s 1927 vision of the future of fonts - almost a hundred years apart.
