I try not to get too sappy on social media and I am still embarrassed to be writing a novel right now (sorry!)
- but I have both so many things to say about these shows while still being speechless about how to describe them. BUUUUT I have found that I keep coming back to the word “unreal”. circa survive is a band that I have now listened to for over half of my life. that’s unreal! hearing blue sky noise and get out for the first time from a friends little ipod nano is a core memory LOL. It is a privilege for me to feel things so deeply in the world, so in turn I am so grateful that I can feel this music to my core. it’s indescribable to have music that resonates so strongly with my life, both past and current while also leaving a little bit of hope for the future. these songs have helped me through it all, including all the peaks and valleys of life. it’s unreal.
music is my life. always has been, always will be. ironically, I was never allowed to go to concerts growing up and before i moved out, I saw maybe 5 shows before the pandemic? some I begged for tickets, others I snuck out for (sorry mom!) after we thought live music was gone forever during the pandemic, I planned on going to every show I wanted to and could go to. i had my ticket and i was so finally looking forward to the BSN tour, especially after it getting rescheduled. after everything that has happened since then, it’s absolutely unreal that I was now finally able to see my favorite band in the world for the first time. I myself now am also healthier and working on being happier, so this truly felt like a celebration. I am so beyond grateful for these memories. to my friends, old and new creatures, I am so lucky to have experienced these moments with you. circa forever and ever.
