Traditionally crazy quilts used fabrics like silk and velvet and the feather stitch was often used as away to conceal and reinforce the raw edges. It was also used because it’s a lovely decorative stitch. I had a lot of remnants and I wanted to use the pieces as is and not trim them too much. The results is an asymmetrical freeform mosaic like pattern. I have a full tutorial on how I created the pattern and the construction of the pouch on my YouTube channel.
