Our first year students had the incredible opportunity to meet Colin Merrin and visit his studio in Portsmouth. Colin emphasised the importance of keeping a sketch book in informing thinking and creative development. His experience working for Halas & Batchelor is a great inspiration!

Thanks for this. It was great seeing you and the students Trudy. Just to say, my main employer at that time (1974-76) was the great Peter Sachs who taught and inspired me so well.
