Not often you get the track to yourself for the whole day. Got to run reverse layout which was sick. Great day despite some torrential rain at lunch time. Cresta happily spun the Valino semis I put on the rear to fight the wet. Final drift day in Japan for big red, stoked I got to drive 4 different tracks in it when the original plan was to export it home straight away.

First, I made it a GOAL. Without a goal, I have no plan. Without a plan, I take no action. The first thing I did when I turned 70 in January was pick this October beach vacation. I need a date. I need a point in time to hold me accountable. I had 8 months to train my glutes with focus. I trained them twice a week, but I didn't change my training schedule. I still trained just 4 days a week for an hour. What changed was my intensity. I trained with more focus, pushed a little harder, and lifted a little heavier. I stay somewhat lean all year, but not lean enough to wear a thong! So, 9 weeks out, I started eating leaner, but I still kept my 3 cheat meals a week. I was actually ready in about 7 weeks, so I had to start eating more, adding additional carbs and protein. Otherwise, I would have just ended up skinny. All my cardio is done at home on a Stair Climber before breakfast. Over those 9 weeks, I went from 20 minutes and 1,000 steps to 30 minutes and 2,500 steps by increasing the speed. I usually did the Stair Climber 5–6 days a week. And yes, we still had our 3 date nights a week! Can I do this again at 71? Well, I'm actually only about 3 months away, so I've already made another GOAL. I want to improve on what I did at 70. I started this week. A GOAL. A PLAN. A DATE.
