I’ve always felt nearness to the Lord, even in seasons where I was walking in complete disobedience. He’s met me in every season, in every beginning and ending, in the blessing of growing community around me, and in the daily mercies I so easily overlook. He was faithful there. He brought me back to life there. What a gift it is to run back to the Father who is always patiently waiting for me.
I’ve heard people say, “God will never give you more than you can carry,” and I lovingly disagree. True peace came when I stopped trying to carry it all myself and laid it down at His feet. The past 3 years, God has truly loved me back to life in ways I am continuously amazed by. I’ve struggled with deep depression, crippling anxiety, and so much more that the things of this world could never lift. Praise be to God for true peace!!!
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
Baptism is not what saved me, but a public display of full surrender. Fully known and fully loved by the King!!!
What a gift to be made new. What a gift to publicly say YES to the One who never stopped pursuing me.
Thank you Jesus!!! ♥️
