Anyone else singing their own theme song throughout the day? Just me? It’s actually a tradition my own mom started. She sang us through all sorts of normal things which is delightful. We’ve continued the tradition and now my children also sing their own theme songs. So if you hang out at our house, you’re gonna hear a lot of music and noise, but it does make getting through things just a little bit better. 🤪😂#lindsayschott by @lindsayschottcreative

Picked out some pumpkins and in true Texas fashion it was 90 degrees. But we did find some beauties! I love the weird ones! After a pumpkin pick of course we went to Costco because this is real life and I don’t know who needs to know this but Costco is selling a Skeeball. I used to spend a lot of hours with these, my favorite game in an arcade by far. Landon suggested we could just put it in our room. I like how he thinks 😂 #lindsayschott by @lindsayschottcreative

Weekend vibes! We pulled off a surprise party for Piper! And we got to do some adventuring on our day off. The weekend has me thinking about the community of families around us and how grateful I am for them. I also found a new owl to add to the collection. I’m naming him Franklin. Travel day but this is pretty sweet. I read Berry’s The Peace of Wild Things and felt sad it was so hot and that I didn’t leave near any bodies of water where ducks like to live. But this evening, I’m enjoying ducks and geese bobbing, gliding, honking, flying. I’m so grateful I got to do this this weekend. It’s surely not deserved b it so thankful. Leg day hurts so good. Been enjoying working out and leg day is where I can do bigger weights (which makes me feel strong) but also hurts more than any other workout. Y’all, Jesus is so lovely and rescuing people everywhere. I was so happy to hear Billy Corgan say he was a Jesus follower. What an encouragement to my soul. If you decorate for the spooky season, keep me in mind 🧠 😂 I will grant you that the skull aesthetic is for a very few - but if that’s you, you’re around or for just this season, I’ve got a couple prints for you! And I have a new owl one that has a dark background that just lens itself really well to your seasonal decor. The good news is that they actually have a very biblical message. Someday I’d like to make a whole line of spooky biblical art because the Bible is crazy!!! this is what I have for now 🤪

Yesterday my five-year-old son came home with a picture from school. He drew the whole thing himself and all those hearts were for me. And if that was not enough sweetness, he also drew a picture of me with my muscles. 💪 this is a whole new level to the muscle mommy era 😂Basically the best complement I’ve ever received 😂 by @lindsayschottcreative

Just something I’ve been mulling around. Part of spiritual health is output- the giving of ourselves, our gifts, our time, our wealth to others for their benefit. Jesus is so unique in that He came to serve. And He seemed to be particular to the needy and poor - who couldn’t benefit Him but saw their need for Him. When we think of a healthy Christian soul - health includes the output of service to others, particularly those who have great need and who are very vulnerable. How lovely to have a Savior who cares for the least of these and doesn’t consume or ignore them. by @lindsayschottcreative
