OHAFIA
She proudly represent the Ohafia people of Abia State, a people forged in courage, strength and warrior heritage.
My warrior headpiece speaks of honour and victory.
Her spear represents strength and readiness.
Her shield represents protection and resilience.
Her feathers, beads, raffia and woven details echo the regalia of the warriors of old.
Inspired by the spirit of Iri Agha, the Ohafia War Dance, her costume tells the story of a people who celebrate courage and remember the warriors who came before them.
She may be a woman, but she carry the spirit of the warrior.
She carry their courage.
She carry their pride.
She carry Ohafia.
