NJ-7 is a flip we can’t miss this midterm. 🔥

This Saturday, Seton Hall College Democrats joined organizations across the state to canvass for Rebecca Bennett, and we’re not slowing down.

Young people, this is your moment. Midterms are decided by who shows up, and the issues on the ballot (affordability, healthcare, our futures) hit our generation hardest. NJ-7 is one of the most competitive districts in the country, and every single vote counts.

📍 If you’re in NJ-7, please vote. Election Day is Nov. 3. Bring a friend, and make a plan today.

Thank you to everyone who came out and knocked doors. This is what showing up looks like. 💙

🗳️🗳️🗳️

Here we are on the other side of another @peachtober :-) I always like to introduce myself for those who are new around here: I’m Sha’an but lots of you know me as furrylittlepeach (a tumblr handle I created in 2010 because I wanted to blog and not study for my exams). I am an artist, illustrator and children’s author who loves to create vibrant, whimsical pictures for adults & children and tell stories in hopes the things I make can be a portal to joy, nostalgia and escapism especially in these chaotic and distressing times. I’ve documented my practice and life on youtube for the last decade - come find me! My art studio is always messy.

I live in Sydney, Australia with @rocketweijers and our cat Tonka ✨ I love analysing song lyrics, café hopping, going to the cinema, watching reality tv with my friends, and going to bookstores with a little drink. I’m always open to book recs and love to read speculative fiction, celebrity memoirs + non-fiction about the creative practice/creative psyche.

I decided to make peachtober on a whim, the day before october in 2018 - a choice that was fortuitous because the community that rallied around it is honestly one of my favourite parts of the internet and was completely unexpected. Whether it’s your first or your eighth year - whether you created 31 paintings, a single sketch or simply spectated - thank you for making this community as special as it is! It truly is the cherry on top of my year every year, and this year for me turned out to have wild highs and unpredictable lows so I feel I really needed it.

If you’re still reading this please go and check out the featured artists on @peachtober, give them a follow and lots of love - it helps train your algo to show you more art and more artists which can only be a good thing! I would love if you’d leave the creators you discovered and loved this year in the comments so we can discover them too!

Note: I saw a bunch of you mention the hashtags changed for the worse this year. Leave it with me! I will be investigating and will hopefully have some solutions for next year :-) much love!!!!!

آدمایی که برای زندگی ذوق دارن زیباترینن :)

Saturday afternoon. Went out for a quick bite, ended up wasting half the day with these idiots. Talked about absolutely everything, solved absolutely nothing. Somehow three hours disappeared.

Could’ve been worse. 🖤
