There’s something special about working with people who are genuinely committed to improving their health.

This gentleman has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

He’s been navigating his own health challenges while consistently showing up, putting in the effort and learning how to better organise his body.

What’s been particularly rewarding is seeing how quickly he’s responding to the work.

Most of his training happens in our movement classes, with the occasional 1:1 session when we need to refine something more specifically.

Here we’re exploring a supported Half Moon posture with an emphasis on single leg stability, hip centration, trunk control and rotational coordination.

The box and wall provide external support, allowing him to slow things down and explore ipsilateral and contralateral rotation without losing the integrity of the position.

It’s a beautiful example of how we integrate DNS principles into movement practice.

The intention isn’t to make the exercise harder for the sake of it.

It’s to improve the quality of movement, establish better neuromuscular coordination and progressively build capacity within what his body can currently manage.

What inspires me most is his willingness to keep learning, even when the work is challenging.

And that’s something I never take for granted as a therapist.

There’s a lot to be said for showing up consistently, respecting your current capacity and allowing the body time to adapt.

It’s often the simple things, practised well, that make the biggest difference.

Keep up the great work.

Align & shine 🦁🧡
