the three most important factors for your spider plant- water, soil, sunlight
💧 WATER: there is no such thing as “overwatering” a plant, only watering too frequently!! once your soil is COMPLETELY DRY, absolutely drench that baby. make sure you let the excess water drip out the bottom drainage holes (pots with drainage are a MUST) then let it chill for about a week
*i love clear pots so i can easily tell when the entirety of the soil is dry
🪴SOIL: spider plants will not be your friend with a straight bag of soil, it needs quite a bit off aeration and good drainage ! my go to chunky soil mix is equal parts soil, perlite, and orchid bark
☀️ SUNLIGHT: i don’t care what anyone says, “low light” plants are not a thing. the sun is their food, let them eat!!! i always put my spider plants in the sunniest parts of my house and they love it.
*extra tip: i only fertilize once every couple of months (truly i forget sometimes) just be careful to not overdue it, fertilizer burn is a thing and it sucks!!
should i do a video on how to propagate their pups and successfully transfer them from water to soil?? 🪴🩷
