As someone who has loved The Phantom of the Opera since the dawn of time, and who actually wrote a fanfic of it as one of her earliest writing escapades (true story), I was so excited when I discovered Our Strange Duet by @penchant4words 🌹
A new story with my favourites, and I get to listen to the soundtrack (including that iconic overture) while reading it - yes, thank you, take my money!! I will say, I don’t think it is mandatory to listen to the music, but why wouldn’t you?!?!
This special edition is new to my collection, but I think she might be my number one favourite. That sprayed edge of Christine, is unlike anything I have ever seen before. She’s so vibrant on my shelf, that I spend 99.9% of my time staring at her. The end pages as well - they did what they did with this edition, and I am so grateful for it. There’s also a ribbon bookmark inside, which is a bonus!
Fun fact: I’ve had this rose with a black ribbon on my shelf for absolute years, and now it has a matching book 🌹
Are you a musical fan? Which one is your favourite? 📚✨

I'm not a musical fan tbh, it starts to annoy me when they break into song every 5min 😂😂

That is a stunning edge! 😍 I was going to the theatre quite a lot, and then I started buying books, so now I have no money for anything else 😂

Ever since I’ve started to see posts of this book, I’ve been listening to all covers of THE song
