At the Law Students in Justice Conference, held in Abuja, by @kene_agwu I had the privilege of speaking as Executive Director of SOAR Initiative on “Access to Justice for the Vulnerable: Rethinking Service Delivery and Intervention Approaches.”

My message was simple: justice must protect, not retraumatise. For survivors of sexual violence and other vulnerable persons, the journey from disclosure to protection, justice and recovery must be safe, dignified and survivor-centred.

We must move beyond good laws to compassionate service delivery, effective referrals and accountable institutions.

Justice is not complete until the vulnerable can access it with dignity. 👩🏽‍⚖️
