It's been a while since I read the first book in this series, but I'm so glad I've finally picked up book two!

I definitely preferred this one to the first. So much more happens, and despite there still being quite a bit of world-building, I felt like this was where things really started to get going!

The chapters are shorter and snappier, which made me feel much more hooked and invested in the storyline. Even though there was a different POV for nearly every chapter, I actually enjoyed this because it gave me a deeper insight into each character's thoughts, feelings and emotions.

But most importantly, Raeve and Kaan have that perfect connection you want (and NEED!) from a romantasy. ❤️‍🔥

I definitely didn't see half of the plot twists coming, and learning about "the Other"... IYKYK! 👀

I'm not going to lie, I'm not the biggest fan of being left on a cliffhanger, but I guess that's all part of the intrigue and magic of fantasy books! Now I just need to know what happens next...
