most dreams don’t die.
they just get abandoned.

allow me a second to get sappy, an official recap and all the good stuff will come soon. right now I wanted to share more so a reflection and why this particular dinner series was especially meaningful. as a creator entrepreneur and techie, i know how lonely this journey can feel. i spent years searching for the right community. the room where i didn’t have to explain why i’m building three things at once. living a squiggly life.
so i built it.

12 days ago, the lobby was an idea and a text blast. because of logistical challenges around finding the right venue, we almost had to cancel the whole thing or postpone it out a month. but something in my gut told me this will work. 
there were no guarantees. just a core belief that the people building out loud in this city deserve a table of their own. surrounded by the most exciting builders just like them.
wednesday night we did just that, 20 seats filled.
creators. tech operators. founders. multi hyphenates who stopped apologizing for doing more than one thing. but we didn’t just eat together. it was a experience that involved everyone to be in conversation.

we opened with a tea ceremony and slowed down before we sped up.

then sat with @justanotherhappygirl founder of @prezrve for a fireside on building a squiggly career across content and business. the pivots. the detours (and unexpected challenges like your website literally breaking from too many waitlist signups)….the parts of the path that never make it to linkedin. how to actually grow a following, ship ideas.

the lobby is for the ones still in it.
still building. still showing up. and still saying yes to the room before they feel ready for it.
