Content note: child loss 🤍

It’s not easy to break down in front of your kids. But for @drlauraberman, it was one of the most important things she could do.

We learned this week that when we let our children see our grief, we show them it’s safe to feel their own.🩷

I feel this! My daughter just told me she can handle all Thats happened and is happening since my son/ her brother crossed, but that she couldn’t handle me not being ok.. that she needed me to be okay.

There is something about the ground… on the day my son died, I kept sinking to the ground and I remember wondering why people kept picking me up & moving me because that really felt like the most logical place to be, like literally with my face as close to the ground as possible.

Our family has bottled it up for 6 years. Horrible. Glad your family has opened the path of real honest care for one another. Not being there for one another is very lonely in your grief.
