This isn’t the first time horses have had to take a backseat in my journey through life, but it’s certainly been the longest. And every time they haven’t been a part of my everyday life, it’s felt like a little piece of me was missing.

Getting to stay home with my little girls is one of the greatest gifts of my life, and this is my favorite season yet. 🤍 But I definitely look forward to the day I get to share that part of myself with them, too.

I’m learning that you can love the season you’re in while still missing pieces of the life you once knew. One doesn’t take away from the other.

And I know I’m not the only one in a season where life feels different, where the things that once felt so familiar have taken a backseat to the life you’re living now.

So, if that’s you, too, give yourself grace. You haven’t lost the girl you were. She’s still in there, just waiting for her next chapter.

And in God’s timing, maybe we’ll find our way back to the things that make us feel a little more like ourselves. 🤎
