A little drizzle couldn’t dampen the spirits at the Swiss Italian Festa!
Huge crowds walked the streets in the parade, followed by a fantastic afternoon of music, food and festivities at Mineral Springs Reserve.
It’s wonderful to see our region’s rich Swiss Italian heritage embraced with so much pride.
And the fun continues tomorrow with Festa Around Hepburn.
Take the opportunity to wander through Hepburn Springs, explore local cafés and shops, and enjoy more Swiss Italian-inspired food, experiences, and entertainment.

Reimagining a character previously portrayed by Nancy Allen in the beloved 1976 film, Alison brings a fresh perspective to one of Carrie White’s most notorious bullies. With the new adaptation expanding the story across eight episodes, Thornton explores the troubled teenager behind Chris’s cruelty, finding the humanity in a character audiences love to hate.
“So much of what Chris does comes from her home life and her lack of emotional support, and a lot of the conversations with Mike [Flanagan] were just about humanizing her and making sure that she doesn’t just come from a place of cruelty for the sake of cruelty. A lot of her bullying Carrie has nothing to do with Carrie. It all has to do with Chris and what she’s going through, and her lack of healthy coping mechanisms.”
