IBJJF Orange County Open: 🥇
Completing my run of SoCal IBJJF Open golds for the year. One of my main goals when I moved back to the area.
A weird October for me, which is usually my favorite month (🎃). Glad to still have Otis. Not so glad that training has been a bit sporadic for various reasons. Excited to keep working towards improvements. Onto the next one.

![Kid Rock has Bill Maher pounding on the table laughing as he tells the wild story of how Trump left him on the phone with the president of France.
Kid Rock had privately told Maher the story once before. It didn’t matter. Maher still couldn’t keep it together.
MAHER: “Bob, you’ve gotten to know Trump personally over the years. What’s something about him that people would be surprised to learn? Oh, you want to tell the Macron story?”
KID ROCK: “The what?”
MAHER: “The Macron, the golf cart story.”
KID ROCK: “Oh yeah, that was funny. Yeah, we’re out golfing, and I hate speaking out of school, but this is just a fun one. And I mean, the guy’s taking calls all day. He’s working while you’re golfing. The guy does not stop working. I think we can all agree on that. He works. He sleeps like maybe four or five hours a night, right?”
“So we’re out there. Macron calls. He’s like, blah, blah, blah. He’s talking. We’re on the golf cart, right? I’m standing next to his golf cart. He’s like, ‘Hey, I’m here with the great Kid Rock,’ like Macron knows who I am. And he’s like, ‘Bob, say hello.’ So he gives me the phone.”
“I’m like, ‘Hello, Mr. President.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m from the Paris of the Midwest, Détroit.’ And Trump leaves!”
[Maher completely loses it]
MAHER: “I love that!”
Only Trump would hand the president of France off to Kid Rock and drive away. To this day, Macron probably still doesn’t know what the heck happened. 🤣](https://s1.imginn.com/883299878_18027323759871881_1692835378640208253_n.jpg?t51.82787-15/883299878_18027323759871881_1692835378640208253_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e35_s1179x1179_sh2.08_tt6&_nc_cat=105&ig_cache_key=NDAxOTg1MjQ0NDk3OTgyOTk3Nw%3D%3D.3-ccb7-5&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=58cdad&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6IkNMSVBTLnhwaWRzLjE0NDAuc2RyLnZpZGVvX2RlZmF1bHRfY292ZXJfZnJhbWUuQzMifQ%3D%3D&_nc_ohc=LaTbeHqbe2wQ7kNvwGFPir5&_nc_oc=AdpyyCcc8-XHvi9YiWD-Fbi8h_xsPw35r7VdaLUWvC09JQOxHc2pbNyUMYuRbGA7hHguUfaKqwIswfFJCCrPIvoN&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-atl3-2.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=KGXG-9Uwh1ExisSvMsAh-A&_nc_ss=70180&oh=00_AQQQCEP1WcXUZ9MNYrrSdRtc5VuQkdUY-BAex4fgIdeTVw&oe=6AED46A5)
