Quick story about why I made this post today…

Yesterday, my homie @keefthedj told me to link up with him. While I was on my way, somebody stopped me in a clean G-Wagon. I looked over, and it was none other than HMI LEGEND @leslylagredel 4X4! 🙏🏽🔥

That moment brought me right back to 2006!

I was just 18 years old when Nicky went solo, and Lesly personally handed me this EXACT SAME CD to pass out to all my friends. That very night, Nicky was scheduled to perform alongside T-Vice at the Sheraton Hotel in Braintree, Massachusetts.

20 YEARS LATER, THE HISTORY STILL LIVES! 🇭🇹❤️

This is why I, DJ PowaSerge, continue to celebrate and preserve KONPA MUSIC! I’ve been around this culture for years, and trust me, I HAVE STORIES FOR DAYS! 📀

And one thing I’ll always say about @nickenson_prudhomme : HE’S A LOYAL DUDE! When I decided to throw my very first Konpa Day Party, I called him. No hesitation, no questions. His response was simple: “I’M THERE!” 🙏🏽💯

That’s the kind of history, loyalty, and love for our music that deserves to be celebrated.
